Aviva (formerly known as Norwich Union and Norwich Union Direct) is one of the UK's well known insurance companies involved in the provision of insurance to consumers and businesses with its heritage dating back 200 years. In 2008 Norwhich Union (as they were known then) were the first company in the UK to introduce "Pay as you go" Insurance, however it was later scrapped due to the low take up among UK motorists.
